CHANCE ME! College Re-Applicant, Low GPA, Heavy ECs, Jail time, Built Businesses, list goes on.

At least for OCS, the Army is not giving moral waivers at the moment. I'd be shocked if USMA's standards were lower than OCS's.

Edit: good find @Dixieland. Mr Carbonaro - if your current revisionist explanation of that crime spree is actually "wandered upstairs", then I don't believe you understand the integrity required of military officers. Do everyone a favor and choose another career path.

What a shame that you didn't come up with a different user name and used your real name in your post. A quick Google search pulls you up right away with an article on your crime spree, with your picture, and your question on College Confidential where you asked this same question a couple of years ago. Please contact the Mods and ask for help changing your name.

In all of your applying to West Point, did you ever contact Admissions to see why you are consistently being turned down? It's great to believe in yourself but West Point has thousands and thousands of candidates to select from that don't have the character and academic blemishes that you do.

I wont need to change my name. The crime can be found online but i can tell you that it is over exaggerated. I asked the same question on CC because i have not progressed much since and could use more input and i found this forum.

You asked: "Please give your honest opinion thanks" Ok, here is my opinion since you asked. I think you have trouble with 'focusing'. You remind me of a Poem by ROBERT W. SERVICE:

The Men That Don't Fit In
There's a race of men that don't fit in,
A race that can't stay still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin,
And they roam the world at will.
They range the field and they rove the flood,
And they climb the mountain's crest;
Theirs is the curse of the gypsy blood,
And they don't know how to rest.

If they just went straight they might go far;
They are strong and brave and true;
But they're always tired of the things that are,
And they want the strange and new.
They say: "Could I find my proper groove,
What a deep mark I would make!"
So they chop and change,
and each fresh move Is only a fresh mistake.

And each forgets, as he strips and runs
With a brilliant, fitful pace,
It's the steady, quiet, plodding ones
Who win in the lifelong race.
And each forgets that his youth has fled,
Forgets that his prime is past,
Till he stands one day,
with a hope that's dead,
In the glare of the truth at last.

He has failed, he has failed;
he has missed his chance;
He has just done things by half.
Life's been a jolly good joke on him,
And now is the time to laugh.
Ha, ha! He is one of the Legion Lost;
He was never meant to win;
He's a rolling stone,
and it's bred in the bone;
He's a man who won't fit in.

Original Poster.
Besides my crime insidence, what do you find wronv with my application? Am i that screwed up for you to call the academies flawed?

Remember I did recieve a nomination in my first year of college and that was during my crime incident. I spend countless hours progressing myself daily.

My grades are not up to par and my crime issue is an issue. Besides those, which are major, my character is definitely up to par with candidates.

Highschool students go to school and write very generic "i love usa" essays and provide no value because they have no real world experience. Do you think my real world experience can be a benefactor? And by real world experience i mean building actual businesses.

"Eberts said Carbonaro also broke into a room at a house in the 200 block of North Normal Street where a party was being held. Carbonaro allegedly had several items stolen from that residence on him at the time of his arrest, but to this point no charge of larceny from a building has been filed against him. According to Eberts, Carbonaro had three cellphones, two iPods, cash, knives, sunglasses and other miscellaneous items on him at the time of his arrest. Eberts said the incident appeared to be unusual for Carbonaro. “He has no criminal history until now,” Eberts said."

That's a lot of stuff !

You had (5) Apple Devices on you !??

I drank tequilla and went unconcious. Woke up in the police station. If it says that, then yes. I would never do such a thing. The consequences of drinking tequilla...

Pretty quick to judge me on my integrity by me stating one sensitive piece of information dont you think? Its fine, but no need to imply that me gaining an appointment would affect your life.

That is a good poem

If my criminal history was not a part of my life, how would you rate my performance? Keep it honest thanks

Ok...

I'm not going to pile on, but I would be more concerned about meaningful civilian employment than an appointment that is hard to obtain under the best of circumstances.

A simple Google search put you on blast. I assume a future employer would Google you as well.

I'm (barely) a notable figure, but I don't have (and hopefully won't have) any issues with someone researching my background. I'd hate for you to spend money on education for you to be ultimately unemployable.

Good luck!

Your high school grades are very low and your college grades are not helping. A 3.0 is not going to scream to the admissions board you are ready for a SA curriculum. You didn't mention classes, but a general humanities mention. Even as a humanities major at a SA you have a very STEM heavy emphasis. What have you don't to prove you can make it in a STEM heavy environment. Your arrest will be a huge problem. Don't listen to what you have heard from others on those with questionable backgrounds getting in to support your cause. It's all speculation and most likely false. Your chances are extremely low. I am not sure with that GPA you would even be able to open an application.

You don't like to study because you are easily bored; your grades 'suck'.

Do you think going to an Academy taking Calculus and Chemistry will be 'less boring'?

I didn't judge you, the court system did, and they found you guilty. However, my impression of your integrity is solely based on your whitewashing of the events here on this forum. And, for somehow thinking that blaming it on alcohol made it ok.

Contrary to your immature opinion, your gaining an appointment does affect my life. My son is an officer, with no criminal record or alcohol issues mind you, and I don't want you serving with him.

I'm sure you'll be able to move past this and become a productive member of society, just please do it as a civilian.

College can be overrated for an Entrepreneur.

I enjoy studying and my time is always occupied so i am not bored often. I got an A in both Calc and Chem. I am not wanting to go to the academy for college experience, but it is the best option to prepair an officer. Id rather be an officer than own businesses.

On the contrary it would affect my life because you could end up an officer under my West Point grad's command.

Dont assume i have a criminal mindset. The college students who are partying hard and part of rotc will also be serving with your son. I have friends who are in the service as officers. We get along great. My work ethic is great, but not tailored too school, more so my three businesses that generate over 100k annually each. My standardized tests are high scoring but gpa is low. This year so far, i have done over 100 hours of community service for my rep and my church.

Come on, open your eyes!

Re-read the opinions YOU asked everyone to give YOU...... Folks ain't "buying" what you're "selling" !
