Hi all,

I'm new to the forum so forgive me if this post is in the wrong area. I'd like anyone with knowledge of the OML to "chance me"
For branch and AD. I'm a 26 year old non traditional cadet. I contracted last year and I'm in my last MSIII semester. I'm a biomedical science major with a previous bachelors. Overall I have a 3.2sgpa and 3.6 cgpa. This far I've had all E's and one S. I volunteer weekly and I've done many ECs for ROTC mainly including color guard. I maxed last semesters PT test. So far this semester I had a 286. I'm doing GAFB next month and we've been training rigorously so I'm hoping to bump that 286 up. So... Chance me. I would like med services but I know it's competitive and My cadre said I'm probably not top 10%. I really thought I might be so that took me by surprise. Based on all of that what do you think my shot is at med svcs and AD?

To specify I am Army ROTC with 8 years of service (3 AD/5 reserve)

Really hard to say until you have completed LDAC.

My older son graduated 2012, he had a 3.5 GPA, overall E with 12 dimensional E's at LDAC, over 300 APFT and #2 on the Battalion OML, Airborne and CTLT with one Superior Cadet Award.

He finished right at the 10% mark on the AD OML. There will be fewer cadets making AD this year then when he graduated so the top 10% will be a smaller number.

Do well at LDAC and it will help your placement. The Battalion scores count more then LDAC this year as it did last year so battalion OML and PMS Recommendations will mean a lot.

Do well, bring up your APFT and use ADSO to better your chances.

Good luck.

Thanks Jcleppe for the feedback.
