So I am currently a Junior in High School and I am looking at the ROTC as an option for college and for the 8 year requirement after college. However I really need the college scholarship and wondering what my odds are. I scored 1380 on the SAT have a 3.7 GPA and I am an eagle scout. I have played 3 years of Varsity water polo and I am Half-Black (IDK if the army has that affirmative action BS). What are my chances of getting the scholarship.

I don't think any of us can really venture a guess. We won't be at your interview or be reading your essay, etc. I would say you appear to have a good application, but you failed to mention any leadership roles your were effective in. Leadership is another part of the Scholar, Athlete, Leader combination they are looking for. You also don't mention what Honors and AP courses you took in high school. You should be taking the hardest courses that you can while maintaining good grades. Good luck on you application. Go for it!
