Hey everyone. With the average appointment timeline approaching (Feb-Mar), I have become more curious whether or not my chances of getting an appointment are reasonable as a current freshman in college. If anyone who has experience could let me know, that would be awesome!

-4.0 unweighted/4.3 weighted HS GPA w/ 24/483 class rank
-33 ACT
-2 years Varsity Baseball w/ All-metro senior year as well as Captain
-NHS and BETA Club
-Eagle Scout w/ numerous leadership positions (SPL etc.)
-Active in Church Youth Organization
-7 AP (All passed) and roughly ~15 honors classes
-Ran own lawn business for two springs, summers, falls
-Highly Active in AFROTC at my University
-100 on my first PFA
-4.0 College GPA w/ 45 completed hours as a freshman (due to AP and dual enrollment)
-Decent Volunteer Work throughout semester with ROTC
-Recommendation from ROTC Commander

Thanks you so much and have a happy new year

You look fine. I wouldn’t worry about it. You’ll get the ROTC Nom and that’s about 1/8 competition. So her another Nom from your district and state to be safe. If you’re from east coast AF is easier. If from west coast more competition. If from CA NY FL TX VA more competition. For you it’s all about Nom otherwise you look like a shoe in. Good luck!

Have you applied for the ROTC nomination? Just having a letter of recommendation from your ROTC commander will not matter much.

Yes, I have applied for the ROTC nomination. Also, I don't know how relevant it is for the academy as it is for ROTC, but my current major is Civil Engineering.

Thank you! My state is TN, so more east coast.

Just make sure you follow up with admissions and that your ROTC nomination shows in your portl
