Chances of getting into USAFA with at least three already admitted students in my county?

In my county (not sure about congressional district but assuming there are more applicants), there are already three students with either a LOA or an athletic offer (1 LOA 2 accepted athletic offers). How much will this negatively impact my chances of getting a nomination/appointment? Do students with an LOA ever not get a nomination? I know that athletes still have to do all the regular application steps, but are their applications expedited/are they basically guaranteed of getting a nomination/appointment? I know there's no real way to say my "chances" without copy + pasting my entire application & sitting in on all my interviews, but hypothetically, could a candidate with a very competitive application get passed over because of too many LOAs/athletes coming from one county in a small state?

For further context my state's congressional appointments don't go out until very late so no one has nominations yet. The last round of senatorial interviews were completed Jan 11.

I see you are a new member, welcome! This is a common question, and your wonderments are understandable. The big, general answer is that the nomination/appointment 'puzzle' is put together in a way in admissions that isn't black and white. Or even understandable sometimes. There are a lot of threads/discussions about your very inquiry. You can use the search function and look for info already discussed.

The three you mentioned will likely receive an appointment if qualified. However, that doesn't mean there is no chance you (or other slate members) won't. Honestly, its not even worth the brain space to worry or wonder about. There are other 'sources' for admissions to use to appoint athletes. If you don't win your slate, you can be placed onto the NWL and be appointed from there. Also, a MOC could have more than one slot available.

So, to address your post, just because someone else has an LOA, or is a recruited athlete, doesn't mean that MOC's nomination is gone, or you won't receive a nom.

As an ALO, I covered 1 school. I regularly pulled 4 and 5 students per cycle from that school.... so - it depends on you but is by all means possible when considering the whole candidate score and how competitive your region is.

How do you get 5 from the same school? In one year of 5, we had:
1 x recruited football
2 x recruited baseball
1 x band student w/ no athletics
1 x International Baccalaureate student w/no athletics
