Chances of pilot slot?

Hi all,
I am a second-year AFROTC cadet whos looking at competing for a pilot spot. I was wondering if anyone had insight on my chances/options for getting a spot. Thank you!!!
Stats:
CGPA - 3.4 -non-tech
AFOQT:
Pilot - 88
Nav - 67
PCSM(13 hours): 70
-I plan on getting PPL so I plan on advancing 2-3 flight hour brackets… Expect 78-82 PCSM by the end.
PFA - 94
Ranking - not sure but assume middle-high
FT- Have not gone yet
 
I’d recommend going to the AFROTC subreddit theirs a discussion on it right now.
 
Based on my son graduating and commissioning in 2018, I would say you have a very good chance. My sons GPA was lower, but his Pilot score and PCSM was higher (98 with flight hours although he had a 70 without it). Having said that, what they are looking for changes every couple of years so what is good for today, may not be good next year. You dont need the PPL although it helps, but putting in flight hours will help your PCSM.

If you want to get a better handle on this, go to http://www.flyingsquadron.com/forums/. These are all Air Force pilots and some AF instructors and thtat is all they talk about. Be careful when you post and ask questions. They arent the most welcoming and patient bunch of people
