Chances of Receiving an Appointment

Hello, I’m currently a candidate for USAFA ‘25 and am curious what the forums think of my odds of being appointed. I understand there’s no crystal clear cut way to determine odds but I figured I’d post this and see what you have to say.

Below are my stats:
GPA: 4.3W (multiple honors and college classes), top 10% of class
SAT: 1300
ACT: 28
CFA: Passed
EXC: NJROTC, CAP, Private Pilot, President/VP of two clubs, Race Director, part time job, CrossFit, raced cars fresh and soph year
NOMS: 1 Senate, 1 MOC.
Extra: Incredible LoR from USAF LtCol and USAFA Graduate, Outstanding ALO Interview.

Any advice or feedback would be wonderful. Have a blessed day and good luck to all Candidates.
 
Your odds of getting appointed depend on who else is in your district. For all you know the kid down the road has done all you have and more. It’s just impossible to know. As for your stats, they appear fairly strong: your grades are good, your ACT and SAT scores are a bit below average, and your extra-curriculars are good. I would ask yourself if you believe your application represents you and if you are confident that you did your best. If that is true, there is nothing else you can do but hope for the best and work on plan B’s.

Just out of curiosity, do you want to be a fighter pilot? That’s what I have wanted to do since I was super little and I know it’s going to get CRAZY competitive at UPT, but hopefully it will all be worth it!

Yup! F-16’s hopefully. My goal is to go to Sheppard for UPT

Hey same goal and same place for goal! XD I got a friend down in laughlin tx that I wouldn't mind annoying a bit durning training.
 
Honestly, you seem to be the perfect kid and I'd say the chances you don't get in are slim.
If I was your age I'd be jealous of you.
 
I think your standardized test scores could be higher. Also, you do not have any athletics. That is going to require the rest of your application to be outstanding. Since you already have noms you are on the right track.

Sheppard is definitely the place to get F16s... I’ve watched the drop videos there and that seems to be about half of the assignments😂 In hoping to get into ENJJPT as well... best chance of getting a F22 which would be dope
