DD is showing boarded/under consideration. She has visited a couple different colleges and has decided she would like to take two schools off her school of intent list and add two different ones. The portal is allowing her to do so but have read on posts from years past that some stated that while it was allowing a change to be made on the applicant's side, CC was not showing the same information. Does anyone have any experience with this happening or any insight
Thanks and congrats to those who were awarded in first round!

Your daughter can reach out to one of the ROOs at one of the schools on her list and confirm the ROO is seeing the same schools she thinks she has listed. Good way to open up a dialogue with a ROO. Keep in mind some ROOs are busier than others.

If "School of Intent Page is currently Read-Only," does that have any meaning? If not selected as a winner in January board, will it unlock for editing? Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing. I noticed yesterday that my DD's portal said that the school of intent page is read-only. I didn't notice that in the first board.

My school of intent page is read-only too.

Where do you see that it is read-only? Is it actually written on the school of intent page?

Yes, on the very top of the page it says, "School of Intent Page is currently Read-Only." It won't let you change anything on the page. Is yours read-only?

No DD's school of intent page looks normal. And she is still B/UC in her status. I bet that the page going "read only" is a good sign for y'all.

Just to share, here is what the locked pages look like. Again folks please don't read the tea leaves too much in encouragement or discouragement based on this status (unless anyone else chimes in to confirm this means something for certain) - sounds like we'll know definitively perhaps tomorrow for this round. Please remember someone else stayed in b / uc even for months AFTER receiving a scholarship - the point being that status led to a good outcome! So it's not necessarily a bad state to be in. Likewise, others confirmed they went from boarded to winner. So both paths can led to the desired goal.

I haven't been this emotionally invested/ interested in an outcome since my DS and DDs were soon to come into the world and my DW and I could meet them. Hang in there all - we may be at this for several more weeks and hopefully with good outcomes for these good young people who want to serve our nation. I've said it before, many other interested parties were already ruled out/ did not get this far or complete the application. So hang in there and best of luck to all candidates and their families!locked.png

DS' AROTC status was moved to Boarded, and School of Intent page is read only. It is increasingly hard not to try to figure it all out. Good practice I guess. Fingers crossed! Good luck to all!

Could you imagine if Cadet Command is trying to post offers and applicants keep switching schools on them...of course they would lock the school lists during this part of the process. Once the offers go out I’m sure the non select’s lists will be unlocked, so they can adjust their school lists.

Is it safe to assume then, if you ARE able to edit your School of Intent list then you have not been chosen this board?

That's our working assumption in our household. We may be wrong, but it sounds like they often award the scholarship to "your top three schools" in the list (for example). They wouldn't want you jumping in at the last minute and dumping your existing top three and sticking 3 Ivy's in there, I wouldn't think. DD is still fully editable - bummer.
