After submitting my application I received a referral to the Character Review Committee because of a poor decision I made in 9th grade. I was asked to provide some additional information and any official supporting documents. I sent an email back with all of the requested items but I never received a follow-up if it was received or not. After (what I assume was the character review committee making their decision) my application status changed from Incomplete to Complete-Pending Review. Should I email and see if they need any more information and/or my status within the Character Review Committee?

I think once it's in that status, there is nothing more needed, since it's marked "Complete - Pending Review", I think you are now in the official waiting game. Of course it wouldn't hurt to check with the admissions team to make sure. Best of luck to you.

If the person who contacted you with the questions and request for information did not contact you again, then the review has been completed. If it was unfavorable, you would have been turned down by that process. Once through the Review Committee, the findings are attached to the admissions package and you take your place in line with the admissions board. No need to contact them if they didn't contact you. Good Luck.

Many folks on this forum ask, "What happens if I [did something stupid] earlier in my life?" This is what happens. It goes to a character review board. They often will ask for additional information. They review that information make a decision. Most cases of doing something stupid as a youth will turn out ok. For some, it won't -- usually due to the type of incident, recency, and /or repetitive nature. But is is ALWAYS and individual determination. Being honest is (as always) the best policy.

I think that my poor choice I made in 9th grade was one of the the best lessons I've learned in high school. It felt like the end of the world at the moment but being honest about it to myself and others let me learn from my mistakes.
