Chatter, Congrats & Questions 2026 USCGA Appointment Thread

Today is March 31! I have been told my daughter should hear by April 1 and also April 4?
Can anyone clarify the actual date she should hear something ???

What I'm finding odd, is how few people here on SAF have been notified so far. It's now midday, the day before the deadline (according to the USCGA website). Only one person here has received a rejection and 1/3 of the amount of people have been offered a spot, as of this time last year.

DD is still waiting for medical waiver. We had heard from a 2025 parent that her daughter received waiver in April.
We're all exhausted but trying to remain hopeful. Best of luck!

I do not think that is an accurate representation of the appointments that have already been given out. Usually about half the appointments are offered during EA. Plus there have already been a few batches of appointments given out after EA.

Has she been offered a conditional appointment? or is still waiting? If she has been offered a conditional appointment, then at least you know they are actively considering her waiver (or will be soon).

I know not everybody is on this forum. I'm just comparing what was posted here last year compared to what was posted this year. I expected the past couple of weeks to be a lot more active here. Well, we will all know soon enough. Just nervous energy working now! LOL!

I thought they would be more active as well! I was expecting a lot of posts over the past couple days. I think it must be a lower percentage than usual on this forum this year. Or maybe people just aren't sharing as much as in past years.

For those still waiting, what are we thinking is coming down the pipe tomorrow? Prep schools, turn downs and waitlists? Are there normally still appointments handed out in the first? Just curious as to what everyone’s thoughts are! ( and semi-relieved to be almost done with the waiting…at least for now 😉)
Last year they released the final round of RA decisions late at night on the 31st… about 10:00 CST to be exact. Most of them were the 1,500 or so rejections that unfortunately have to be pushed out. There were also some prep appointments and waitlist notifications. Maybe some direct appointments, but if there were, not many. Could be differ slightly this year, you never know. Wishing the best to all no matter what!

She received her conditional appointment in December. Then we had medical appointments resulting in the need for a waiver. We were notified that her waiver was automatically requested on March 10. We're hopeful. Thanks.
