So my checklist deadline to turn in my Candidate Kit and complete my checklist is November 1. Does that mean I have to do my CFA by then? Also, does my DoMERB exam have to be completed by then as well?
 
CFA must be taken at least once by then, but if you fail you may be given up to a month beyond your deadline to retake and pass. DoDMERB is not subject to this deadline but make sure you have gotten the ball rolling on that front as the process will take several months.

CFA must be done. Interview and DODMERB does not. As above said, if you've been sent info for DODMERB, the sooner the better...if there are remedials, it gives you time before the technicians get bogged down with larger numbers.

Nomination processes by your 2 Senators and 1 Representative run along the timetables set by their individual processes. The SA just expects those officials to deliver their slates sometime in the New Year by the due date. That’s out of your control, as is interview timing.

For nominations where you have to supply required information or the recommendation from ROTC or JROTC, you might as well get those in, if applicable. Ditto applying for VP nom.
