Chemistry exam? Others?

I saw a post someplace that mentioned a chemistry entrance exam. My daughter hasn't done chemistry since 10th grade, should she take a refresher course or something?

Any other exams she should prepare for?
 
No. Just have her take it as is, and she'll be on Chem 1. It isn't something she needs to "pass". Same thing with the math placement exams.
 
The exams are just to validate/exempt courses. If you do well, you might be able to get out of the entry level course and be placed ahead. Your DS will also take a language placement exam during basic. Some would say that you should try to be in the lowest course to make your doolie year easier, but I'd recommend doing as well as you can. I validated ~7 courses and it has allowed me to pick up a double major and still have time to be a soaring IP (and maybe do research next semester too). Whether or not you prepare extra or just let the cards fall how they do is up to you.
