Children’s book re being Away from Family While Serving

I don’t come from a military family as DS would be the first if he is appointed to USMA, but I wanted to share as I’m sure many of you can relate.

His dad has been deployed 10 times. This is his message to other military kids | CNN

I imagine that's good for the son, but the healing powers of that for the Dad are probably huge. Good for him figuring out a way to deal with it, while helping his son feel better as well. I can't imagine what it's like having a wife and family at home whilst deployed, as I did all mine when I was single.
