Would a cholecystectomy and an appendectomy problem at age 15ish be an automatic DQ, or would it have possibility for a waiver? I am asking because my friend had this problem and even now, she still passes out randomly and she used to throw up a lot. I didnt know if her being a recruited athlete would impact that decision either.

From USNA website, Appendix A:

Gastrointestinal System History of peptic ulcer, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gallbladder disease, regional enteritis (Crohn’s Disease), ulcerative colitis, or any other inflammatory bowel disease is disqualifying.

Keep in mind that "disqualifying" doesn't mean an automatic no, it means that they may ask questions to see whether the applicant is able to perform to standard without undue short-term or long-term risk.
