Christmas break liberty

We need to make a plane reservation for our son's return on Jan. 2, 2011. Does anyone know exactly when liberty will end on that day? He is a plebe.
 
Make sure to get your DD/DS back well before the expiration of liberty. They have to be in formation by the designated time, not just arriving on campus. It is a very bad idea to be late or even to be the last one to arrive back just before the set time. On his plebe Christmas liberty, our DS had a connecting flight get cancelled, his bag was lost by the airlines, and he arrived back at KP at 0330 the morning after liberty expired. Suffice it to say, the extra attention he received for the next couple weeks was not fun!
 
Plan on getting your plebe back in the early afternoon at the latest. They need time to get their junk settled and get their uniform in inspection-ready condition.

As noted above you really don't want to be crunching time at that point.
 
Lesson Learned: This past Sunday my DS needed to be back at KP for practice- we put him on the bus at 11:40 (3hour and 20minute ride) the bus arrived in NYC 2 hours late 15:45 .... didn't arrive at KP until 18:30! Good thing practice was changed! Guess he will get an even earlier bus from now on.

Please err on the side of caution. Our DS is now a 3/C and we live a long plane ride away. Give your DS extra time to get back to KP when you are making travel arrangements. Our DS was stuck halfway back to KP due to weather last Christmas season and quite honestly, they do not need any extra stress during plebe year. A direct flight would also eliminate that issue too.:thumb:
