Citadel C/O 2026 - Thread

Having gone to Norwich and having a son at The Citadel - Charleston is hard to beat. Good luck on the scholarship and school choice.
Thank you! The allure of Charleston is definitely a strong factor! We've heard from a number of people (parents of students who have gone to both and current/recently retired officers in the military alike) that as someone who is definitely looking to be commissioned, he can't go wrong with either option.

Agreed. Not a bad choice in the group

My daughter decided on The Citadel for class of 2026. She received a 4yr AROTC scholarship and their Service to Country Scholarship for room and board. She is still awaiting new from service academies but plan B in full swing, deposit paid, and attending CSI in July! We are so excited for her and loved Charleston when we visited many years ago, looking forward to going back!

Congratulations to your daughter! Our son also received the AROTC scholarship and is Citadel bound. So exciting!

Congrats. Your daughter and you will enjoy being part of the Citadel family. It's a hard road, but worth it.

I've applied and got accepted to The Citadel. My #1 is TAMU but it's nice to get a couple college acceptances under my belt. It also helps I'm in-state for El Cid. TAMU is again my top priority but I've heard great things about The Citadel. Gameday atmosphere vs VMI was amazing.
did you get into TAMU? if so how have you liked it? My son just got a 3 year ROTC Army award.
