Hey guys, I never made a thread about the del, but I think it’s a good opportunity to talk about our current Commandant, Col Mercado who will be retiring at the end of the summer after a six year tenure as Commandant of Cadets. As a cadet, I admired Col Mercado who truly excelled in all facets of leadership. As a leatherneck, he knew when to be friendly, tough, and when to put people in their place for stupidity. To borrow from LTG Honore- he was never "stuck on stupid"

The new Commandant of Cadets is fresh out of the fleet and hopefully he will perform superbly. I remember Captain Paluso who served as our speaker for our class rings during my senior year and he was certainly someone to be respected... and feared :thumb:

its a no brainer to say the cadets will have no problem respecting a SEAL, that's about as no nonsense as it gets.
