Hello, I am a junior interested in attending the Citadel and competing for academic scholarships, and ROTC. I was wondering what types of ACT scores, extracurricular activities, and other aspects are needed to help get a full ride, I am an out of state student. Here are my stats:
33 ACT, 34 Superscore
4.0 GPA
16 CCP/Honors Courses
5 on APUSH Exam
Swimming Varsity 3 Years, State Tournament Qualifier,3 time District Qualifier
Cross Country 3 Years
Octagon Club Vice President, Varsity Academic Team, Student Senate, Chosen for Boys State, most likely National Honor Society, Youth in Government, work as a manager at a small business

Everyone will say the same thing more or less. You have to apply and see. I have a son with similar stats and he received a four year AROTC scholarship and additional money from VMI which equated a full ride. It is possible, and you've done well, but there are no guarantees in the military world. The type of ROTC you seek will tilt the odds one way or another, and of course the DODMERB will be a factor among other things.

@Sargon is correct. The Citadel has a very generous scholarship pool for qualified candidates and especially ROTC Scholarship recipients. My DS had similar stats and won both a 4-Yr AROTC and a NROTC-MO to The Citadel. He is currently there on the MO and has very little if any out of pocket costs.

you might be a candidate for the honors program. My '22 had similar scores and was literally the last one accepted to the honors program, he for out at the end of Hell week he's be moved from the Leadership Scholars Program to the full Honors Program

That plus his Navy 4 year scholarship is essentially a free ride.

So, the credentials you posted are competitive, but as noted, it all depends on the applicant pool in the year you apply. The Citadel is a public college, so much of the financial assistance is for need based aid based on your family income. However, the college does offer numerous opportunities for merit based awards to well qualified students. There are only a few academic awards for full rides for exceptional students. There are Honors and Scholars Program merit awards that can be combined with ROTC scholarships (not to exceed cost of attendance). I would encourage you not to waiit till December of your senior year to apply, however, as most academic awards are reviewed and invitations extended in the Fall semester. Good luck
