My son did an overnight visit and was so unimpressed he crossed it off his list. The visit included a portion for parents as well. We thought the faculty and staff seemed very engaged and enthusiastic, especially the career services lady. The cadets, not so much. Even the seniors seemed uncomfortable talking to a group of parents. For a military school, I expected they would exude confidence and poise. My son agreed the faculty seemed great but said the cadets weren't embracing the ideals the faculty was espousing (duty, honor, country and such) and seemed to not want to be there. The deal breaker for him was when the first years told him he would need to start using tobacco (presumably dip) because the upperclassmen expect it and tease you if you don't. What?@! Honestly, for the price ($50k+ out of state) there are better options.
