Civil Prep Offer

Yes! At least one young woman was all set to go to MMI on an AOG scholarship & then after 1 May she was converted to an actual appointment. We will never know what happened but things change even after 1 May. (But don’t count on it.)
Candidates that are offered appointments must accept or decline said offers to the offering academies by May 1st. Thus, the academies may make additional appointment offers to fill up remaining spots in the incoming class.

That's great news! I'm sure admissions favor re-applicants who show perseverance like that. I'll look into Northwestern Prep. If I'm not mistaken, that prep school is newly sponsored by the AOG as of recently.
Northwestern Prep has been a USMA AOG school since 2014.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to quickly jump on this thread I created a while back to update everyone. Instead of a Civil Prep Offer, I received an actual appointment to the Class of 2026! I will be shipping off in June to West Point.

Go Army!
congrats!

Hello USMA.candidate, I was in the same boat as you. I am currently a sophomore at the Marion Military Institute and I am an AOG. I was medically dq'ed out of high school, went to MMI my first year nonsponsored and medically qual'ed, did not get in again. But because of my motivation to get into west point, I was the first person to receive the AOG scholarship. I am now going to graduate college and go to west point in June. I'd give LTC Bowen a call and ask about the program we have here, I think this is a great opportunity for you to grow as a leader. If you have any specific questions, feel free to contact me.
How many cadets are at MMI for the SA Program? My daughter is looking into it as an option and actually just received her acceptance. This would be self prep, non-sponsored. We can chat off-line too if you prefer. I'd love to hear your 1st hand experiences about MMI.
