I'm pretty adamant about spirit/morale, but does anyone know what our class color will be, or will we find out at BCT? Looking forward to it, but I have to make sure my day by day activities will allow me to get that far (academics, fitness, etc). Just because we're in doesn't mean it's over!!!

2016 will be BLUE.
They rotate colors every 4 years and 2012 was blue.
2013 is silver, 2014 is red and 2015 is gold.

Just to clear this up for anyone wondering what is going on. To anyone but the colorblind people in 2015 it is yellow. Take one look at their blankets or hats and tell me it isn't yellow (or the dorms, which are based on the same color scheme).

Later,

Brian

Yes, I concur, there really isn't much of a debate. Clearly yellow. And I would also like to point out that BLUE is by far the best class color.

Clearly we all passed the color-blind test. Needless to say, I'm disappointed with y'all. It's gold, COME ON! :yllol:

Editors note -- This week's excerpt from The Contrails is seen exactly as shown on page 36 in the 2015 edition of this cadet guidebook

In modern architecture, the three primary colors are prevalent [in the design of the Air Force Academy]. Since the Academy was to reflect modern architecture, red, blue, and yellow were chosen for the original Academy colors. The following are the significant aspects of these colors:

Red The sun

Blue The sky

Yellow The grasses on the plains

Silver Stainless steel to mirror aircraft technology

Originally green was supposed to be the fourth color (instead of silver) to symbolize the trees in the forest. However, since green is not a primary color, the original architects went with red, blue, and yellow to start.

Contrails is a reliable authority on all things 4*. I have to point out, though, that this is the one time when Contrails does NOT have the right answer. :D:p

STRONG!!!

Happy 1000 days, Class of 2019!
