Congratulations to all the 2013 cadets, I hope that I can follow in your footsteps next year. I am just wondering if there are any other USAFA 2014 hopefuls out there? And a few questions for all of you that are:

How are you doing in the application process? (DODMERB, Nominations, Application Kits)

Has anyone hit any major roadblocks yet?

Why do you think that you will be one of the 1300+- accepted into the Academy next year?

Hey Eagle-

I'm a Class of 14 hopeful...working on getting congressional nominations all worked out/scheduling my DoDMERB physicals today. Hopefully I'm on the right track. How do you feel with the whole process? This site and all of it's knowledgeable participants are incredibly helpful. If you haven't talked to your ALO I'd recommend it, mine is really supportive and really explains the whole application process really well.

See you around
Derek

Wahoo! Great to hear from some 2014's! I thought I was the only one!

I'm 2014 also. I received the Falcon Foundation Scholarship (rejected from '13).

If all of you are going to have "Class of 2014" in your sigs, better make it red. It's an old tradition and the red classes are the notorious ones. Get used to it. ;)

I just finished my DODMERB also. I have not met with my ALO personally, but we exchange e-mails and phone calls and he is really good at explaining and answering all my questions. He is out of town right now but we are going to meed in a week or two. I feel ok about the process, but will not be confident until I receive a LOA (long time from now). It's great to hear from some other 2014 Prospectives.

Hey hornet, what is with the red signature thing (just 2014?)?

What, you got a problem with that?

Class of 2014

I will be there

The class of 2014 will be the next RED class after 2010 (LUKE!!!!!)...ahem....sorry... which means you are the next RTB class, or red tag bastards. There's a good article somewhere on its origination. :)

CLASS OF 2010! LUKE!

hehe, Bryant, you will survive.

If you were talking to me, my name is Brian not Bryant. I can tell that your verbal is weak .

WOW! Hasn't even finished his application and is already dogging senior academy cadet and upper classmen. That definitely takes balls.

If/when you do get accepted, just remember who your cadre will be.

If I get in I don't care if I get yelled at by everyone on the entire base. Anyways it doesn't take much brains to spell my name right since it is in the signature block on the previous page, and since we have been sending PM's for a couple days now.

When I get there he will be Lt.

Brian, work on your application rather than bragging that you will for sure be in the Class of 2014. Things don't always work out as you plan. I was not accepted this year but I received a Falcon Foundation scholarship so I will most likely be entering next year.

Also, a little too late, but for future reference...be nice to the upperclassmen and cadets on here. They are using their personal time to help all of us reach our dreams. Just remember that what you post, especially with your name, can come back to haunt you at Beast...

Need I say more. Haha.

Anyways it doesn't take much brains to spell my name right.....

For what it's worth; the proper grammatical use of the word is "ANYWAY" not "ANYWAYS". But I'm sure it was a simple mistake; sort of like Hornet spelling your name wrong.

Haha Christcorp! But to correct...he was talking to Bryant--->CadCandMateus.

Not to be rude! Just FYI.

I'm sorry guys.

This was kind of my joke with hornetguy, I didn't mean it to go this deep. He was teasing me about my verbal in the "Should I send these SAT scores" Forum. I made a grammar mistake by saying "descent" (going down) and "decent" (doing ok). We have been teasing each other about it ever since, sorry for making it sound so bad. I didn't mean for it to get everyone fired up. I also respect all the Cadets, not just Seniors, they have all worked very hard to get accepted and I hope that I can someday join the ranks of honorable men and women that have gone before me. Hornetguy is my friend, just some playful banter. I didn't mean to sound arrogant, and dogging a Senior at the Academy.

Sorry all
