Class of 2017 Mailbox Stalkers Club

Hadn't been able to check the mail since 2/8, checked it yesterday, no BFE. Bummer.
 
Stalking everything!

I have been among the mailbox stalkers for a while now. And will continue stalking until I am holding a BFE in my hands :) Gotta be positive, right?

Hello...again

Just lurking...watched with interest so many great candidates last year. I'm curious to see the successes of those that were appointed to NAPS, had Falcon Scholarships, and so forth. I guess I'm just one of those people who have to know "the end of the story," or perhaps it would be better said to be the end that precludes the beginning? Good luck to all!

My hopes are high, but I will continue making backup plans until I have the letter in hand!

sounds just like me. i know march is most likely when everyone will find out but i can't help but continue to check my portal and mail everyday :yllol:

I don't think there's any point in checking my app, so I'll just do it when March comes around.

for me it's just a what if sorta thing. i know i most likely won't get any news till march but i just like to think that it could change before march :wink:
 
usually the Academy leaves a small gap of time after you officially are appointed and when they update your portal so to give your MOC an opportunity to call you and inform you of your appointment... I got a call from my MOC a week ago but my file wasn't updated until two days ago and I still don't have the BFE in the mail... keep your phone on and don't drive yourself too crazy looking at that portal!

My daughter received a Falcon Foundation scholarship last year, attended NWP last semester and received an appointment this past Wednesday:)

Exciting times for all these hardworking students!

BFE has arrived!

BFE has arrived today! We live in Western PA.
Based on post mark, it was sent on February 20th, 2013.

For those who like to track the dates. We had no phone call from MOC.

On-line portal has updated on Feb 20th, 2013.
(The PDF letter(=offer of appointment) inside the portal was written on Feb 13th, 2013.)
DS pushed the accept button in 5 minutes!

Two more PDF emails delivered through on-line portal on Feb 21st, 2013.
(One was for Tatoo form(AF-4428) and the other was OF-28 and OF-205.)

BFE has arrived on Feb 25, 2013.
The envelope was big white one, but it was not that fat... it was slim.
I was expecting very fat one.:thumb:

Never fear Delta. More information, forms, and forms will be on their way via both email and snail mail. Wait for it . . . .

Less and less will be sent via the mail as USAFA continues to modernize its Admissions system. This year "BFEs" are much slimmer than they were in the past, and next year may all but disappear.

There will be no "TWEs" this year. All the non-select letters will be delivered on the portals.
