Delta, Just remember to copy any and all forms that you send in a head of time. Your Appointee should carry these copies on them on IDay.

going to be the longest 3 weeks of my life... going to have to take it day by day though. last year i never thought it'd be march!

i'm sure for the people get appointed the time they have till i-day flies :biggrin:
 
Playing the Waiting game

This month is going to go by so slowly... anybody know the sync schedule of the portals?

The portals sync approximately between 5-8 a.m. EST.

Also as I posted in the Appointment thread, I called my admissions counselor today and he informed me that the review board is meeting all this week and that changes to the online portals should occur later in March or even early April.

Goodness, I check all three of my portals three times a day, not to mention my dad checks with me three times an hour to see if there's any news :)

Anybody checked in with their nominator for any news?? I really just don't want to wait anymore! I've been waiting since last March ;)
 
Anxiously waiting as well. I wonder if they'll roll out the enlisted Airmen appointments (mass appointments) at the same time as everyone else's? I know of 2 Airman who have already been accepted to the prep school and 5 who have been accepted directly.

Who do you know that was accepted directly? I know of only 2 so far, the other 3 are news to me, and 2 to the prep school already? Effffff I'm too anxious, maybe it's the new work tempo in my shop making me want to leave even earlier but any change in my portal will make me pass out ~_~

When I went to the LEAD DVP in February, there were 4 Airman who had received appointments prior to arriving. The 2 direct appointees and 2 prep school appointees. They had all found out around the end of January and beginning of February that they received appointments. At the end of the visit, Lt General Gould awarded another direct appointment. :thumb:

I know it must be hard for you since you've been forum stalking since last year lol. You'll be fine! We're all anxious. Personally, it's difficult for me because I'm stationed at Peterson AFB which is 30 minutes down the road from the USAFA. I can literally reach out and touch it. :shake:

Ahhh k, yeah I knew someone on my DVP trip in Sept who was stationed at the academy in their health clinic, he has to go direct because of age. I just want to hear something, and all the talk of direct Priors is really rare compared to last year, makes me hope I can slip in with them haha.
 
Jeez man the suspense is extremely killer wish I would already knew lol! I refresh my portal all the time even though I know nothing has changed :yllol:
 
I bet I beat everyone..............I check once an hour for my son. I can't help it!! I know the stress is so hard on everyone waiting. Soon is all I can hope for.

Yes, but that ONE time that you go to that portal and it has change to "Principal". You have goose bumps like you have never had goose bumps before - and that is what happened to me (a Mom). I know it was the same for DS.
 
I'd like to say I'm a mailbox stalker, but my DS was a LEAD candidate last year, and is now at the Prep school. So instead of stalking a mailbox, I stalk him. :rolleyes:

I too checked DD’s portal “regularly”.... but be careful, because when it did change, it wasn’t the way I expected......

Under Application Status, it will still show YOUR STATUS: CANDIDATE.... with the “important note” still there in red. Under that, a new section appears that reads: APPOINTMENT STATUS: APPOINTMENT OFFERED.

It was “below the fold” on my laptop window..... and, from a timing perspective, the status changed a full week after the calls from our members of Congress.

Best wishes to everyone still waiting.... keep praying Thy Will be Done. If it is meant to be, it will be!

Thank you so much for this insight! I guess it does seem to fit the way other info has been updated throughout this process...subtle changes on the portal without bells or whistles.
So glad your daughter has her appointment. Hoping my son will be joining her in June.
