You know, the question often comes in from people "How to I stack up?", or "What are my chance?". I have found that looking that the prior year's Class Profile is helpful in seeing how you fit in. While it is never a hard and fast rule, you can see where you may fall into the group:

Thank you! I have a soph. that wants USCGA and it's nice to see what she needs to be competitive.

can't be sure about that. I do know there were a few prior enlisted in the class. Just not sure of the number.

Thanks for the post. So effectively, (as I understand it, and please correct me if I'm wrong), about 18% of 2018 came from post-high school sources?

That's awesome! :thumb:

Yes, that appears correct.

I don't think prior service CG are included in the 18%. There is at least one in 2018. There are two in 2017. There is at least one in 2018 with a bachelor's degree.

There are two prior enlisted in the class of 2018, assuming that all prior enlisted go through the Scholar's program.

Grevar, do you have a average cumulative ACT score for the class?

Nicole

Yes, the GPA's listed are weighted (as indicated)

I see for the ACT the average Reading scores are shown. I thought English was the ACT subject of choice for admissions?

Here is the big question, I know that in the USAFA the acceptance rate into the academy from those that attended the summer program is very high (around 90% I think - not sure)... Is this the same for the AIM program? How big is each AIM class?

LOL, I saw that bit of data, but that isn't what my question asked, the question is: What percent of those that attended AIM were offered an appointment. ie. does getting offered a slot at AIM dramatically increase the odds that you will be offered a spot in the class?
I know that isn't a regularly published number, just curious if anyone has a feel for it.
Like I mentioned, if you got into the USAFA Summer Program that was a VERY high likelihood you would be offered an appointment.
