Yea, I noticed the same. Quiet week. Let's hope for some activity next week. My DD received an appointment to USAFA last week (Presidential nom) and there were several others that posted USAFA appointments as well. Seems to happen in spurts.

Hmm, I got an LOA in the mail today dated 4 NOV. They probably just sent out less this week.

just curious has anyone in CA received LOAs or Appointments with Presidential
Nomination? From the information listed, seems that it goes up to Midwest.

My son's HS classmate here in N. CA has rec'd an LOA in the last 2 weeks.

MOC interviews scheduled for later this month.

Still stalking that mailbox!

I'm from NorCal and received an LOA in October at the CVW.

Haven't seen any appointment updates this week...did anyone get one
or LOA or was it maybe a slow week with Veterans Day this week.
 
My DD received an email from her Congressman today (FL-21) inviting her to a "a ceremony honoring service academy applicants" at his office. Past experience from this district is that this is actually the nomination award. DD already has an appointment to USAFA (Presidential nom) and we know the Congressman is aware of that appointment. She hasn't committed though and is hoping that this will be a USNA nom as that remains her first choice. The ceremony is on the day after Thanksgiving though...wondering how many nominees may not be able to make it due to the holiday weekend?
 
Fingers crossed it is for USNA! If they knew she already had USAFA appointment, there shouldn't be any reason why they wouldn't award a USNA Nom!

My DD rcvd Noms from her congressman for both USNA and USAFA. She had only applied to USNA, but after receiving both, she has now applied to USAFA as well. She didn't get everything in by the EA deadline, however, so that will be a hurry up and wait exercise for sure. Plan A is a Service Academy, with USNA her first choice too, but On the positive side, she did get accepted EA to her plan B school, UGA, yesterday, so at least some positive news!

Congratulations! Here in NJ District 5, my DS has not yet interviewed. It will not happen until December, he's been told. He went through the Booker/Menendez interviews on November 8th, but has not heard anything.

Great news for you guys!
 
Too early to change to appointment?

DD got a LOA in October with the only open condition being a nomination. She got her nomination letter yesterday !
Can I post her status as appointment or should we wait for the BFE?
