Class of 2023 Appointee Kit hit the portals this morning!
Let the fun begin!!
Already started filling mine out. I am about half way done!
For those interested, here is a link to the 2023 Appointee Booklet:
Additional information for parents and appointees can be found via multiple links on the "parents" tab on the official USAFA website:
I don't see anything about bed and breakfast program - is the AOG not doing that anymore? That's how we found our second son
And it specifies ABU boots! No OCPS for 2023 yet!
Field house drop off? That kind of makes me sad
Also DS said a couple of links were not working. The about the parent's clubs and I think the math placement one too. Anyone else? Also will they not take a math placement exam during basic anymore? What about language and chemistry?
The link issues have been corrected. The issue with the Optical Declaration has also been corrected.
I believe they started this new drop off location last year.
Yeah, that's weird! I thought that class of 2023 was getting OCP uniforms for basic.
So will the boots be the same with abus and ocps?
No. Sage green for ABUs and Coyote brown for OCPs.
Ok then I'm not buying them yet
Sam2018, with the 3rd one going to USAFA, looks like you will be around for a few more Parents' weekends.
We have only one more.
I will . I've been to 5 so far with 4 more in my future and the youngest also wanting to attend so that would be an additional 4. I could give the tour... Lol
do we have to fill out all of those forms for the security clearance?
Although current cadets were measured for OCPs in the fall, current rumors indicate that OCPs deployment will not occur this summer. Looks like the Appointee Booklet may be confirming these rumors.
I think you know the answer to this
Yes, then changed the drop-off location for the Class of 2022 to help streamline I-Day logistics. The basics went to the Doolittle Hall complex between their return from Jacks Valley and the Acceptance Parade to visit Challenge Bridge and other displays at the complex.
