That could be interesting ...imaging behing in the Second Group., sitting quietly in your room before induction, when you hear the First group complete their oath and the SHTF when they reenter Bancroft Hall. (And yes, they will certainly hear it !)
 
Just got the email from Superintendent. Parent weekend postponed indefinitley. Not surprised, but bummed. Guess another round of airfare will be logged into my southwest travel credits. :(

Buck made the right decision. Can’t be bummed about that.

Today, we purchased our Football home game season tickets, Blue & Gold VADM Club membership donation, and 4 Army/Navy tickets .... We are planning on disruptions. It’s a donation for us.

It was the only decisions he could make. Having PPW would've wasted the ROM the plebes are going through right now. Still a bummer but we'd been preparing for it for quite a while. I don't anticipate seeing our plebe until December unfortunately. But it is what it is.

same for us AZ too far for Thanksgiving if that were even an option. I know leadership did what they had to do, and I respect it.
 
Sorry to hear it, but I don’t think it’s a surprise to anyone. Good luck to 2024. This will be a unifying experience and one that they will wear with a badge of honor. They will power through. Class of 2021, you are on the clock for leadership and to lead the Brigade through this year... take care if your Midshipmen. You see a change of behavior out of the norm, have some open, honest convos. Know something is up. Lead them well and embrace this challenge. The lessons your learn during this will carry you through to the fleet with a great deal of experience. Good luck.

Plebes in the Class of 2024 will make two phone calls home during the summer (all times Eastern):
Phone 1: July 12, 2020 at 1:30 pm
Phone 2: August 2, 2020 at 1:00 pm

Just received the short text from DD .... Hey love you

She talked to DW for a while. I was outside working. DD and I are on the same Frequency. When I get a short message like that above ... everything is going great on the Yard.
