Hello I got accepted for the class of 2029 and realized all the other service academies have class of 2029 instagrams. Is there any for USMMA? I would love to see possible people in my class.

Getting in is the easy part. Staying and graduating is the real trick but the prize is a big paycheck, $$$, if you sail of course. Not so if you go active duty. Good luck at the Zoo kid! Get past Plebe year and you'll be on your way.

Thank you ! I’m excited but nervous. I’ve been prepared from my father who was a West Point Grad, just wishing there were more people to speak to about USMMA

Unless it’s changed recently, they do the class pages on Facebook. Look for a class of 2029 official for USMMA. There will also be official parents pages. If you’re interested in connecting with more people associated with the Academy reach out to your local alumni chapter, they are very welcoming of midshipmen and candidates. Depending on what state you’re in, you also probably will have a parent association that will do a welcome on board event of some sort this summer to meet some of your classmates coming from your state.

Notice alot of other Academy grads dropping off their youngsters at the Zoo especially grads from the Yard. The secret must be out.

Agree wholeheartedly with this. As has been mentioned, there will be an "official" Facebook group page for your class moderated by the NPA. But be careful what you post. Blowback from many angles is real.

There is, or likely will be, a group on Instagram that will be dedicated to your specific class. In my DS's experience, it seemed to have been started by a fellow class member or other mid at the academy. But again, be very careful what you share and maybe even consider scrubbing old posts for things that may be used as ammo against you during INDOC. There are multiple KP related Instagram accounts that are used solely to bring levity to the daily KP life and add fodder to the lore of the KAPPA PI SIGMA fraternity. Expect your social media to be scoured for anything that can be used to make mids laugh and thereby potentially make your difficult plebe year even harder. STAY UNDER THE RADAR!
