Class of '26 Herdon Climb

The guy who put the cap on top for my class was about 5'5" and a coxswain for Navy Crew.

It was no 1:05:05 like '22, but I like how the guy was ALL THE WAY UP THERE and pushed the dixie cup off with the combination cover.

Or duct taped like class of 98 had. The guy had to sit on top of Herndon, take the anchor off the cover, and then cut the tape.

2:31 was official time. Mids from my kid's Company kept getting close until one finally made it! Go 28th!!

Back in the day, when everything was black and white, Plebes ran to Herndon after graduation. They ran from Halsey once graduation was done to Herndon and did the climb.

Congratulations '26, plebes no more. During the climb, I found DS standing on the sideline along with 100+ plebes. I asked what's going on. He said that if you're to beat up during sea trials, 16 hours ago, you don't have to climb.
