Quick question:

My school doesn't weight class rank, they only give out unweighted class ranks. Therefore, several kids in my class are in the top 10% by filling up their schedule with art classes, while I am in the top 20% with a full schedule and AP classes. Do they look at class rank if it's unweighted?

Thanks.

Admissions will look at everything -- your gpa (weighted or not), school profile, # of APs offered, % that go to college/ivy league, etc. that your counselor will submit. If your school doesn't rank or weight AP classes, USMA will figure out your rank based on your classes and gpa. Control what you can -- take the hardest classes your school offers and get the highest grades possible. Take the ACT/SAT as many times as you can -- the SAs superscore and will take the highest scores from each test, with Math and Verbal being the most important (on the ACT).

haha I am a senior, my application is already in! But thanks, hopefully they recognize it.

In that case, admissions should have the info your counselor submitted and will calculate your class rank. Good luck!

Cool, thanks! I was declared academically qualified too so hopefully everything is sufficient.
