CLEP exam question

Should my son take the CLEP exam for Spanish? We have searched the USAFA site and also the threads and can't find anywhere that talks about whether it would benefit him. We found the AP score requirements to validate classes but there is no mention of the CLEP being recognized. He is trying to decide if it's worth it to pay the fee and take the exam. Thanks.

Here is a language related thread from awhile ago.

I know that the 2016ers could take an online Spanish test before I-Day. DS declined that opportunity and then took the language aptitude test during BCT. He requested and was put into Russian and has enjoyed his 2 years learning it. At the time, I told some colleagues at work that he was enjoying learning Russian. A few were asking what the value of learning Russian was but that was before all the activity in the Ukraine. Now no one is asking why take Russian. How short our collective memory can be. . .

But to answer the original question, I do not think that taking a CLEP exam will be of any benefit to your son except to give him experience taking a Spanish CLEP Exam.

Thank you! :)
