Club Spring Sport / Equipment Storage / I Day

Do you need to bring your sports equipment / cleats with you on I-Day for storage or can it wait until parents weekend?

Varsity athletes, on the team, will have instructions from their coach about equipment stuff. My oldest (and parents) had a meet and greet the evening before, and he brought his stuff then. But that was all prearranged ahead of time.

Unless you have specific instructions, from a Coach/team, ahead of time, parents weekend is perfect.

I would contact the coach of your sport. There are some club sports and EC's like Glee Club that Plebes attend practice during the summer but a lot don't meet until after Plebe summer.

For Club Sports no need for equipment during Plebe Summer. Example, Field Hockey Club Sport never got started until during the academic year and they did play a lot of games and tournaments over four years against a lot of other schools. I assume that other Club sports are the same.

DD is a club sport athlete. There was no need for her — or any others — to bring equipment on I-Day. PPW is fine. You won’t be doing anything with the club that’s so critical or important during plebe summer that you’ll miss your equipment. Plebe summer is focused on other, more important things.
