Coast Guard Dog Promoted to Chief

How incredibly sad... I work at a veterinary hospital and can imagine what it will be like for him to euthanize his partner -- it is such a tough decision for someone to make about their pet, but this dog is so much more. My heart goes out to him...
 
Not many dogs have such useful and rewarding lives...thanks for the story. My heart goes out to his Coast Guard team and owners.
