Folks what’s your take on if there’ll be an NFL or college season and will there be fans? I realize the patriot & ivy leagues cancelled already, but I believe everyone else will go as planned with 20% or so capacity.

My brother is a such a huge Bama fan that on the occasion of a rare loss, he goes into mental distress and then transits the five stages of grief. He’s had season tickets for decades and travels to away games including the College Football Playoff. As most of us Tiders, he has an Alabama room. Except his is an ALABAMA ROOM.

I chatted with him a few days ago and his tone was almost mournful. He said he’s starting to think there will be no season at all. That put me in a period of depression for a bit but I snapped out of it. I’m still hopeful that the SEC will do at least a season with SEC opponents and some form of a playoff with the Power 5 conferences that have done the same.

i just read where our local high school district has cancelled all fall sports. that's got to be hard on the players that are seniors trying to play in college (or just players in general)

A couple weeks ago? I was hopeful. Today? I’m doubtful.

uh oh, not looking good for fans at Army/Navy

maybe things will be different by Dec
With Mayor Kenney I doubt it very much. I was talking about this at breakfast with my wife. I hope they move the game to Annapolis or West Point so the cadets and midshipmen can at least attend.

I was hoping to go to USAFA and see the Air Force - Navy game this year. Not sure if it will happen and even if it does it may be played in front of the cadets only. :(

I think “fanless” is a good assumption. I wonder what the A-N contract says about “acts of God” in relation to using the stadium in Philadelphia and not playing there. A-N will go on, somehow, just like the Belmont Stakes.

So many puzzles to solve with shared pieces and no picture on the puzzle box as a guide.

If one scenario is sending the Brigade home after Thanksgiving to finish the semester virtually, they wouldn’t come back for A-N.

My head hurts.

And it is one of those Harry Potter type puzzles, that is alive so its changing all the time.

My head hurts too.

The Virginia High School League canceled fall sports today.

Virginia has three national hot spots for high school athletics which are Northern Virginia, Richmond, and Hampton Roads.

This is obviously devastating for the student-athletes but also for college programs that depend on the season for film, visits, and other recruiting events.

As far as starting school, my district survey results show close to 50/50 for starting in the building vs starting online. That includes teachers, students, and parents. My prediction is that the superintendent will bow to the pressure and we will all start online.
