College Reapplicants for c/o 2024?

Second time reapplicant here. Just finished my application and waiting for my transcript to process. Hopefully will be receiving better news this year, however I am committed to continue trying to obtain an appointment no matter how long it takes.

NROTC has been good so far and I have quite a few leadership positions even though I am only a freshman which is exciting!

DS has all his re-app requirements in and is CPR as of last week. Waitlisted last year and TWE in June. in a great NROTC unit and doing excellent in his classes, . but was longing for more FT navy and so he is trying one more time. the wait is easier this year somehow. maybe because he is in a good spot so his path to being a sub nuke is going to happen regardless of the admission office decision. Good luck everyone!!

Bravo Zulu! My son was in the exact same situation a few years back, now he's Nuke E going for early select at the Academy and loving it. Send me a PM if you need help.

I’m a college re-applicant too, just getting anxious but lots of other things to focus on. Did pretty well last semester grade-wise, improved on CFA and test scores from last year. Opted to not do ROTC, instead I have a few leadership positions in clubs on campus as well as starting one of my own. Just a waiting game now sure didn’t miss that from last year

What colleges are you ladies/gentlemen currently attending while reapplying to a SA? Anyone at UCLA, USD, UC Berkely or SDSU?? 😍

Maybe apply to USMMA too...There is just as many opportunities to serve going through Kings Point as there is with Annapolis, maybe even more.

I applied to USNA three times in row and never once considering USMMA, until I aged out. I’m kicking myself for it now. Good luck...

I have actually looked into USMMA, maybe that will be something to consider if I do not get in this year. Thanks for the advice!

I am definitely pulling for him. I am so impressed with these re-applicants.

@Hopeful Plebe Mom

I'm extremely happy with my "plan B" university which is a small, academically challenging school here in MD. Being in ROTC, challenging myself in all areas, and being heavily involved in extracurricular activities as well as my ROTC unit have allowed me to grow in a short time period. My heart is still set on USNA, but the way I look at it is if every subsequent application that I may have to complete is another year of growth and learning that will prepare me to become an officer in the military. Now as a re-applicant my focus is 100% towards my current school, but the lessons I have learned will prepare me greatly if I am fortunate to attend the Naval Academy one day.
