College Schedule

I saw another thread about college schedules and decided to jump on the bandwagon since I'm not a freshman any more. Next semester I'll be taking:

-Organic Chem 1
-Organic Chem 1 Lab
-Analytical Chem
-Analytical Chem Lab
-Computer Science 1
-Military Science/Tactics

I am also stuck between comp sci or bio as my 3rd STEM class to take. As far as extracurriculars go I'll be on the rowing team and a chemistry TA. Any insight is appreciated!

Looks like you are a BioEngineering, Chemical Engineering … or some mix.

1980 when I started at UVA — “WahooWa” … I was Electrical Engineering with Medical Engineering minor … my schedule was abusive, but I was scholarship … UVA was paying for my education

2nd year I took Organic Chem 1&2, Analytic Chem with Lab … just like you are taking.

After Quantum Mechanics, you’ll probably take Physical Chemistry … Senior year, you’ll take BioChemistry with Medical students.

### How I feel about Biology — My take ###

Biology is just a bunch of pictures …. Chemistry of living organisms today is all about “Interfaces” between tissue boundaries …. Hence, Chemistry, Physics, and Mechanical Engineering should “supplant” Biology … just my 2 cents.

If it was me … I would take Computer Science. You have to think “Long Term” as well … what motivates you …

Based on the looks of your schedule, you might want to think Medical School after you complete your Undergraduate work.

I am a Biochemistry major/Cybersecurity minor. I would love to do some kind of Bioengineering, but unfortunately my school does not have any engineering programs. I'm hoping to do engineering if accepted to the academy.

As for my career I'm interested in NSW, so if I do medical school I fear I'll become the next Johnny Kim.
