We just found out my daughter might have issues with red/green color blindness. She wants nothing more than to work in USAF Space Command though. I've read several posts on here regrading general color blindess and found a list for enlisted AFSC's but nothing for officers. Does anyone know if this is going to be an issue for her or does anyone have a list of officer AFSC's this effects? Does severe red/green cause a DQ for AFROTC? Or only if you want to be a pilot?

Thanks in advance!

Google search string:
“accession vision stands DS AFROTC”
“Accession” is often the key search term.

A contact number is given. With a specific question like that, your DD could probably get a specific answer as it relates to desired career fields.

As far as I know, unless they are willing to give her a waiver, red/green color blindness is disqualifying for the 13S (Space Ops Officer) AFSC. I'm a 13S myself, and we are all required to meet color vision standards.
