Does anyone know the exact difference between the color deficiency standards between the USAF and USN/Marine Corps UPT pilot standards? I've heard that the AF standards are different (lower) than Navy/Marine Corps and was just wondering if anyone knows for sure? Sorry if this exists on another thread...I searched but couldn't find.

Im a senior at the AFA. Many of my friends unfortunately found out they were color blind and lost their pilot slots. However, a few of them are cross comissioning into the Navy to fly because their color blindness standards are lower.

What happens if you get a pilot slot while you have 20/20 but during training it goes down? Will you lose your slot and be removed from training?

In the Navy (not sure about AF) student naval aviators have another VERY thorough flight physical before winging. If there are any deficiencies, they will not wing.
