It's never too early to start planning for college.

Admission representatives from the Five Service Academies will be holding an information day, for students in 7th through 12th grades.

Parents are encouraged to attend with their student. This is a great time to learn about the Five Service Academies (Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, Military, Naval) and how the process to apply really starts now. Congressional representative will explain how the nomination process works. And the Service Academies will make presentations and talk with interested parents and students.

These scholarships are valued between $250,000-$400,000 dollars.

Come see if you have what it takes to attend a Service Academy.

This Saturday, April 28, from 12:00-4:00 pm at Centennial High School, 2525 Mountainview Drive, Pueblo, CO 81008

This informational forum, is co-hosted by Senator Cory Gardner and Senator Michael Bennet and Representative Scott Tipton (CO-3) will provide interested students an excellent opportunity to learn more about our nation's service academies, requirements for admission and the selection process. School principals, counselors, coaches and teachers are welcome to attend, too.

Staff from the congressional offices and representatives from Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps ROTC will be on hand to answer questions. Students, parents and educators are able to hear from and meet with these representatives on a one-to-one basis to become informed about the excellent possibilities associated with attending these premier educational institutions and the sorts of careers they generate.

In addition, this event is of primary importance to rising seniors who may Now begin the application process to receive a congressional nomination to one of the service academies.

It actually starts at 1:00 and goes until 4:00. This is a great informational meeting if you are interested in attending a Service Academy or ROTC/NROTC. Have your questions ready!

The presentation goes from 1-4 pm but the representatives from the academies will have their tables open from 12-1 pm to meet attendees before the event begins and after the presentations end until 4 pm.
