Combat Weapons Team/Rifle/Pistol

Any idea what I should do to prepare for Combat Weapons Team? I know they are pretty secretive and very exclusive, so any advice from current members is held in the highest regard. Also, can anyone give me details on the different events, calibers, etc. for the Rifle and Pistol Teams? Many Thanks

Really for most of the competitive teams, if not all, it will be a lot of PT, so being in top notch shape will always make things easier in situations such as tryouts.

Almost bit him...

My DS has a friend that just finished up Plebe year. Last year he was selected to join the team. He had a great time but didn't realize the the great time took away from study time. His grades slipped and had to go before academic boards and came close to be academically separated. He left the team and devoted more time to bring his grades up. Lesson: Focus on study, it almost bit him.

This has already been the subject of at least one or two threads; there's so much knowledge on this website, learn to look back at previous posts for information.

Anyways, the recurring advice given to posts like these is to focus on getting your appointment first. It won't matter if you don't even get there.
