Company, Platoon etc

In the youtube video, I saw my DS in the final formation.

Do the positions in the formation tell you platoon etc?

I know the companies. However, I don't know if it is relevant that he is in the front group versus the rear group or that he is in the left line versus middle or right.

I don't know if I am making any sense. Must be my withdrawals. If they made you pay to watch youtube, flickr or picasa, I would be poor indeed.....

If you are looking at the live feed, the company furthest away from the camera is Company 1, then 2, then Band Company in the middle, Company 3 & 4 being closest to the camera. The front group of kids is the first platoon with the kids in the group behind them being platoon 2. If you see photos of them holding up their hands and fingers up, then they are telling what Company and platoon they are in. I hope this helps.
 
No the feeling about being glued. No the formations don't mean anything, nor do the sides or front/back mean anything either.
 
So the front group is first platoon and the rear group is second?

So when they say platoon 301 versus 302 that describes these formations?

Somebody mentioned finding Waldo earlier. My goodness were they accurate!!

I really appreciate the help!
 
on the first day of Indoc, that is what one of the Waterfront students told me. He told me that company 1 was to the right of the building when you are facing the building and that platoon 1 was in the front. He said Band was in the middle. Band will hold up a fist instead of fingers for their company #.
