My daughter's DODMERB account now shows "Complete and On Hold" and states, "Our CIV Team case managers have identified some errors in your examination records. We are working to resolve these issues with your Providers." I searched these forums and previously people with this status had been told to be proactive and call. Do we call the doctor they sent us to? Do we call someone at DODMERB to ask what the error is? I am not sure who we should contact. Thanks!

I would call DODMERB first, and soon. It never hurts to ask... The doctor will probably not be able to help.

Yes you should have a technician assigned. They are very helpful. I would call.

How do I find out who the assigned technician is? Do I just call the CIV team number on the website?

I just called. Thanks. Both the physician and the eye doctor missed something. Also, we gave copies of letters from doctors clearing her from a previous injury to the physician to include, but apparently they did not send those along. I'm going to submit copies directly to the technician.
Thanks everyone.

The physician sent the updates quickly, but the eye doctor still hadn't sent corrections as of this morning. I called again and now her status is back to "Complete". What is the next status update we should expect which will indicate that it has been passed from the Civ Team to the DODMERB? My understanding is that the Civ Team just makes sure everything is complete in the records and then DODMERB does the medical evaluation, correct?

I did some more searching and it looks like the next status we are waiting for is "Closed" which will mean it has been sent to DODMERB. Hopefully that will happen quickly. After that she'll have to create an account on https://dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil to follow her file. We're both anxious for her medical process to move along since the rest of her application is complete.

Here is a flow chart that describes the DoDMERB process. https://dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil/Content/InitExamRemedEvalProc.pdf

I believe that the CIV Team is a third party contractor that works for DoDMERB. It appears that they ensure that files are ready to be reviewed as you stated. source: https://civteam.com/services/

I believe that now that her file is complete it will be forwarded to an actual DoDMERB "Reviewer" who is assigned by the last name of the candidate. If the reviewer determines that she is Qualified, you will be home free. If there are missing facts (remedial) or unclear conditions (physician review) it will take longer.

And her DODMERB site will show her actual process, literally updates like every 10 mins (I don't pretend that I didn't check like every 15 minutes). Our DS went through mid August and once dr. office cleared up error it went very quickly.

Keep in mind getting through this does nothing to make anything else happen faster. IOW, be prepared to wait. A LONG time. No matter if your file has been completed recently or since August. It’s nice to have the box checked that it’s complete, but doesn’t make notification of an appointment or not happen any sooner.

Great. Just want to get through this first step at this point. She had to answer yes to a few things that we think DODMERB might want more info on so we'd just like to get everything moving sooner rather than later. As of this morning it is still with the CIV Team and has not been passed along.

Understood. The rest of her application is complete for Early Action consideration. She also was contacted for an interview and that is scheduled for tomorrow. We know that still means we may have to wait a while, but we are just trying to make sure her forms are not "stuck" somewhere unnecessarily.

I completely understand. You will have more time to work through any hiccups since she started process early. Then comes the wait. We are in that hurry up and wait status. April is a long way away. Good luck to you and she in this process.
