How long does it take for a USNA application to show up as complete pending review? The only thing I have pending is medical and nominations.

last year my DS was CPR from the beginning of October until April 18 when he was waitlisted. He receive an offer of appointment on May 27. Focus on what you can control and do not stress about checking the portal, it will not make a difference.

Everything is in, my application still says incomplete.

Have they received SAT?ACT scores? check on My Progress tab to see if anything else is missing the check mark

Everything has been sent in. BGO Interview completed in August. CFA Qualified, SAT Score in. All of my LOR's in.

Why not check in with USNA via the live chat to see if anything is actually missing. If not, you can sit back and work on alternate plans, PT, etc. And, if you know they have it, no need to worry. You'll be reviewed.

Thank you for the guidance. As Capt. MJ would like to hear, I practiced my live communication skills and called admissions, and confirmed that I have everything in, my application is complete.

Wanted to boost this thread up again. I have multiple confirmations from admissions that my application is complete, but my portal still says incomplete.

If Admissions said is complete.... then it is complete. Nobody here has any more information than Admissions. Be patient.

Is everyone on complete and pending review before receiving a decision? Is it the final status before waitlist/reject/appointment?

Also, government information systems aren't always the most advanced. I wouldn't be surprised if it required someone to log in and manually change your status. The system could also take a few days to update since it might only run updates every so often.

Each document is verified by admissions staff once received, and can take a few weeks. Depending on when your SAT, LORs, transcripts, etc were received by admissions, there can be a few week waiting period prior to the change from “incomplete” to “Complete pending review.” Great job getting all of your check marks, try to practice your patience while awaiting the change to CPR.

On the re-applicant front DS has everything submitted except his first semester transcript, but is still in incomplete status. I feel like things went much faster last year as far as being processed into "complete pending review", which is fine...it seems normal for there to be some variance from year to year.

As far as I am aware, yes. Only exception is if you receive an LOA. LOA changes staus to "Conditional Offer - LOA" or something like that.

Yes, CPR is the last thing you typically get before a decision. BUT .... that decision can still be months away. It is not there as an imminent decision place holder.

Last year, people would see their CPR change to LOA, but no conditions were given for the LOA. Turns out the admissions/IT team were using that as a placeholder before an offer of appointment. Got to the point that when people saw a change to LOA late in the game, they knew what was coming.

Does the longer a candidate stay under CPR lessen their chances for an appointment?
No

Very motivated candidates might have their applications complete in August but nominations (due 31 Jan) and then slating can take a very long time.

I wanted to bring this back. Both my nomination and medical are pending, but everything has been completed including CFA and BGO interviews. My status still hasn't changed since the end of November. Should I be concerned?
