Hi,
I just took my CFA yesterday and submitted my scores along with my candidate statements on the same day.
Now every check box is complete, how long will it take for admissions to process my new data and make a decision on my qualifications?

It's friday; so I would say that by thursday of next week, your status should be updated. If the status hasn't changed by then, call your academy counselor and ask them what "THEIR" status shows.

Son's file (online) indicates "complete" however Oct. SAT scores not included. Those scores were avaiable in last week of Oct. How much time should son allow before he calls counselor?? His Oct. scores were higher and he wants to insure they are considered.

Irv61...my daughter's file is the same...complete...we are also waiting for USAFA to update her SAT scores. We are wondering the same thing about how soon they will be updated. Her USNA application updated her Oct SAT scores within a day or two from Oct 28th. Trying to be patient..it sure is hard

I had the same problem last year. I would go ahead and call them. When I called my counselor, he realized that my scores had been sitting in his email for some time, he just hadn't seen them. They certainly don't mind talking to you, since I have been here, my counselor has made the effort to talk to me a few times.

Later,

Brian

Thanks Brian...I will pass your note along to my son...

Glad to hear we aren't the only ones wondering when the September ACT and October SAT results will be updated. We called the AFA a couple of weeks ago to check and were told it would be 6-8 weeks from the time the results became available. The USNA had them updated in no time.

Quick question about completed files. On the application status page, it lists ACT scores, GPA, nomination status, etc. Under GPA, I have a much higher GPA than my transcript tells me. I know the Academy reconfigures GPAs by rigor and high school profile to even the playing field. I'm just wondering since I went up to a 4.0 (insane) and I had a completely different unweighted at my high school, what would happen to a person who had a 4.0 at their high school? Could they go up from there? Basically, is the GPA we see unweighted (meaning 4.0 is the highest anyone can get)?

No I had a GPA that was shown to be a 4.1 last year. Just really depends on how they weight it.

And with the SAT/ACT scores and other paper work. Keep on your counselor. I had an updated class rank sent along with SAT scores, and I had to call to have him look at his pile of papers for my file. It was then immediately updated with all my new stuff. Just be polite and persistent with them.

Son's Oct SATs included as well... he had "Senator" interviews this past weekend...he is waiting to hear from our District Representative...
