I apologize if this is addressed somewhere, I could not find it.

Does anyone know the % or points awarded and different components of the application?
I know they look at GPA, SAT/ACT, Sports/ school clubs, leadership, PFT, the interview etc.
Probably missing some things.

Does anyone know how each is weighed in the total picture of choosing winners of 3 and 4 year scholarships?

CBEF-250
PMS Interview- 200
ROTC physical fitness test-150
ACT/SAT-250
Scholar/Athlete/Leader-200
Board members score-350

Total amount is 1400 points

Thanks. What is CBEF?
It's a survey that your son filled out with the application that asked like 50 questions. It helps Cadet Command determined the likely hood a applicant will complete the AROTC program. Don't worry too much about it since no one knows how it's scored for the application.

What I had been told about getting a 3 yr vs 4 yr deals with the tuition for the school's your scholarship will be assigned to and how much money Cadet Command has left.

I got a 3 yr scholarship but I listed 3 expensive private colleges.

I listed St. Edward's University, Trinity University, and Norwich University. However, Norwich gives free room and board no matter 3 yr or 4 yr scholarship as long as you maintain a 2.50 GPA. It's called the I.D. White scholarship.

DS got a 3 year to RPI and Syracuse. Both are expensive schools in the 60k a year range. So, I can understand why he got a 3 year offer.
