Re: Monitors.

I notice that my sons did not need monitors until they got their huge gaming systems installed. I know that was not as a 4*.

cool. how do you like it and what'd they charge you? Are you ever allowed to use the web cam for video chat or is that forbidden regardless of cadet year?
 
They usually get new computers every year from what i understand. The uppers have different computers.

ONE perk to being a 4 dig..... wait for it.... you have the newest/best computers!! =)

The computer you get as a 4 dig is the one you will have when you graduate, so the upperclassmen don't get "better" computers, as was mentioned in a previous post.
 
Our computer was listed in the "Instructions to Appointees" booklet that was sent in March last year, but besides that, we didn't know until we saw them.

Not sure what 2014 paid for theirs because i can't find the budget for that class. Class of 2013 paid $2106.00 for theirs. I am pretty sure the only difference is 2013 has XP and 2014 has Win 7.

This includes all the software and licenses that come preloaded on the computers as well as docking station, ext. HDD, etc...
 
ours (2014) had the docking station and all that and was about $1,900.
