Does anyone know what type of computers we'll be getting issued this year?
 
Like most government contracts there is a bidding process involved. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I do seem to remember that the results are announced at some point during Indoc.
 
Dell

They gave out the Specs during the Open House. Unfortunately, I can't locate it right now (likely somewhere in DS's room!). I remember it is a Dell and I think it is the D620. Does have a webcam. If I can find the specs, I'll send them later.
 
Specs are in the Logging In book. Didn't say what or which kind of computer we are getting just the specs. Though I did hear CG is getting Mac Book Pros... I'm sort of jealous.
 
I just found the specs on it... must've skipped over it the first time. CG is also apparently getting IPODs and music dl's. Must be nice...

It says in the Logging In book that 1st Class might have to purchase a second lap top. Anyone know what that's about? And when it comes to that time if we can use our personal lap tops from home? I know it's still 4 years out but might as well get all the questions out there now!
