My apologies for asking a question that may have been asked. Today, we learned from DoDMERB that my DS medically qualified. DS immediately called USMMA to check on status. The website went from application pending to conditional (although he has academically qualified, passed CFA, received nomination)...the good Captain said we will know in about a week. What does conditional "really" mean? Any feedback is appreciated!

I will tell you in about a week. . . .

Conditional basically means that you are in - It is a "conditional" acceptance, it just means that they are still waiting on one of the administrative details - dodmerb, nomination, cfa, 7th semester grades, etc. You may have completed all of these but it sometimes takes a little while for all of them to register in the KP computer. Congratulations. Stay in touch with admissions to make sure they get everything.

Congrats to you and your DS! Sounds like this is number one on his list? If so put on a pot of coffee and start in reading all the KP threads so you can ask 100 more things you didn't even know to ask.

You're right...this was THE only place for him. He just clicked with USMMA during the overnight. Came home from work to find the LOA...so happy to have his dream realized. Thanks and I am looking forward to learning even more about Kings Point!

Read Reporting Instructions

http://www.usmma.edu/admissions/reporting-instructions

These instructions are found at the very bottom of the home page
www.usmma.edu in the gray area, beginning of the second line.

Get on reading the reporting instructions ASAP. TAKE CARE OF THE TWIC AND PASSPORT IMMEDIATELY (pages 8-9)

Most important!!!-> get going on your Medical and Dental stuff (Vaccinations, wisdom teeth and dental work, etc pages 27-30), Physical fitnees program (pg 31-36), check out exemption credit (pg 37), and follow everything on pg 38 to a T.

Get going on getting your TWIC IMMEDIATELY. It takes time to get an appointment to apply for a TWIC, then it takes time to to get the TWIC back at the place you had your initial appointment. Some people have to travel hundreds of miles for them.

Passport's the same thing.

Oh yeh...everything else is equally important, but the TWIC and Passport are time consuming.
Good luck!

We already took care if the TWIC and Passport....two weeks ago...as we thought he would be going to Texas Maritime...so much to do, so little time! Thanks again for the info!
