"Conditional" status

Excellent news indeed, congrats to your son!!! Has he decided between USMMA and USNA already?
 
Hi! Not decided yet. USNA was his first choice...however KP is looking very sweet to him now. We will be visiting KP before he makes his final choice. It is just so very nice that it looks like he has a choice :) Thank you for the good wishes!

I am very glad that you are doing this, I think it is important to visit before making a decision because all of the Academies have their own personality and you can't pick up on this unless you visit. Good luck on the decision.
 
Our son, F, attended AIM last summer then, we drove to NY and visited KP. I was a wonderful experience and really impressed F. He applied for both CGA and USMMA, got the nomination, the, LOA and didn't even wait for the CGA response. He accepted his appointment and is now preparing for USMMA next summer. Things happened so fast and "easy" that it almost feels it was meant to be this way

Whatever your son decides, will be just fine. Both academies are woderful.
 
The Awesome Envelope is here!

Checked the mailbox today...there was an envelope from USMMA. Dated Dec. 22, 2008 our son has received a letter of assurance to USMMA contigent upon nomination (and the medical waiver I have mentioned in the past!) We are very proud parents right now! Thanks to all for your support this far! He actually completed his application on or about Dec 15--this was one fast LOA! He will be taking an overnight visit to USMMA after the new year! He is really looking forward to that.

Medical Waiver!

Received an email from admissions officer today! Medical Waiver has been approved! Son now has medical waiver for USMMA!!! Now we hold our breath for nomination! Very exciting times! Checked DodMerb site, it was updated this afternoon! yay!
